Mini Apple Pies from the Air Fryer are both portable and tasty! Thanks to an easy apple pie stuffing and flaky crust, they’re a pleasant fall treat with no chopping and little mess.

Apples, pie, and miniature desserts are three things I love a lot! These mini apple pies are delicious on every level, and they’re cooked in just a few minutes in an air fryer.

There aren’t many foods that are more symbolic of America than apple pie. With tart fruit seasoned with your choice of toppings, a crumbling crust, and vanilla ice cream on the top, this dessert is pure comfort food! YUM! Apple Hand Pies are just like that, except in individual packaging that is less messy, simple to dish out (no utensils!), and more portable.

Can I Use Store-Bought or Canned Ingredients (Crust & Filling)?

The Crust of Pie: You can use prepackaged pie crust for convenience, but this recipe calls for a homemade pie crust.

Filling for Pie: You can buy canned filling or make your own using this recipe.

What Are Some Variations for Air Fryer Mini Apple Pies?

      • Use some different fillings such as cherry or blueberry instead of apples!
      • Instead of turbinate sugar, coat the pies with an easy yet tasty glaze of milk and powdered sugar once they’ve finished cooking and cooling.
      • Dip them in caramel sauce (which can also be made at home).

How to Store Baked Air Fryer Mini Apple Pies?

Baked air fryer mini apple pies can be kept refrigerated (after letting them cool to room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Alternatively, you can store them in the freezer for up to two months.

How to Store Unbaked Air Fryer Mini Apple Pies?

They can be carefully wrapped and stored for up to 2 months or closely covered and refrigerated for 2 days. Frozen hand pies can go straight into an air fryer or the oven (no thawing required), but they will take longer to cook.
