What Specific Type Of Fish Is Best For Fish Tacos?

Any type of firm white fish such as cod, halibut, or tilapia works well for this recipe.

Can I Use A Different Type Of Beer For The Batter?

Yes, you can experiment with different types of beer to see which flavor you prefer. However, a light beer is recommended as it will not overpower the taste of the fish.

Can I Make The Batter In Advance?

It is not recommended to make the batter in advance, as the beer can lose its carbonation and affect the texture of the batter.

Can I Bake The Fish Instead Of Frying It?

While you can bake the fish, it will not have the same crispy texture as when it is fried.

      Can I Add Other Toppings?

Yes, you can add any toppings you like such as avocado, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, or sliced jalapenos.

Can I Make This Recipe Ahead Of Time?

It is best to assemble the tacos just before serving, but you can prepare the batter, sauce, and toppings in advance to save time. The fish should be fried just before serving to maintain its crispiness.

Can I Add Cheese To The Tacos?

Yes, you can add shredded cheese, such as cheddar or Monterey Jack, to the tacos.

How Do I Assemble The Tacos?

Start by warming the tortillas. Then add a piece of fish, some shredded cabbage or lettuce, and a spoonful of salsa. Top with cheese, if using, and serve with lime wedges.

What Should I Serve With The Tacos?

You can serve the tacos with a side of rice and beans, guacamole, or chips and salsa. A cold beer also pairs well with this dish!
