Ladyfingers

One of the great recipes to prepare light and crispy ladyfingers… These ladyfingerswill be a great addition to your tiramisu or banana pudding.

Ingredients
  

  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • cup all-purpose flour Make sure to sift the flour well before using.
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
  • cup white sugar divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400 °F.
  • Line 2(17x12-inch)baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Fit a large pastry bag with a ½-inch round tube. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder.
  • In a large glass bowl, add the egg whites and with a hand-held electric mixer,beat on high speed until soft peaks start to form.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and beat until stiff and glossy peaks form.
  • In another bowl, add egg yolks and remainingsugar and whisk until thick and very pale in color.
  • Add half of the whipped egg whites into the bowl of egg yolk mixture and gentlystir to blend.
  • Add in the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Add the remaining whipped egg whites and gently stir to blend.
  • Transferthe mixture to the prepared pastry bag and pipe 3-inch fingersonto the preparedbaking sheetsabout 1-inch apart.
  • Bake for about 8 minutes.
