Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
Grease a 9¼x5¼-inch loaf pan with cooking spray ad thendust with a little flour.
In a medium bowl, add the flour, baking soda salt and with a wire whisk, mix well.
In a second large bowl, add the bananas and with a fork, mash well.
In a third large bowl, add the butter and sugar and with an electric mixer, beatuntil creamy.
Add the egg and beat until well combined.
Add the mashed bananas and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
Add the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Place the mixture into the prepared pan evenly.
Bake for about 55-65 minutes.
Remove the loaf pan from oven and place onto a wire rack for about 5-10 minutes.
Then invert the bread onto the wire rack to cool completely before serving.
Cut the bread loaf into desired-sized slices and serve.
