Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cookingspray.
In a small bowl, add the flax meal and waterand mix well.
Set aside for about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the oats,flour, brown sugar, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the applesauce, oil, vanilla extract andflax mixture and mix until a thick dough forms.
Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
Place the mixtureinto the prepared baking dish and with your hands, press to smooth the surface.
Bake for approximately 15 to 18 minutes.
Remove thebaking dish from oven and place onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Cut into equal-sized brownies and serve.
