Ingredients
  

  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 2 tbsp flax meal
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup white whole-wheat flour
  • 2 scoops protein powder
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder Use the best quality cocoa powder.
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • cup apple sauce
  • cup canola oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 tbsp mini semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cookingspray.
  • In a small bowl, add the flax meal and waterand mix well.
  • Set aside for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the oats,flour, brown sugar, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add the applesauce, oil, vanilla extract andflax mixture and mix until a thick dough forms.
  • Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • Place the mixtureinto the prepared baking dish and with your hands, press to smooth the surface.
  • Bake for approximately 15 to 18 minutes.
  • Remove thebaking dish from oven and place onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Cut into equal-sized brownies and serve.
