1 (4-pound)
whole chicken
neck and giblets removed
▢

tbsp
butter
melted

salt and ground black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the grill for indirect heat. Adjustthe temperature to 350-400 degrees in the indirect area.
Grease the grill grate with cooking spray.
Coat the chicken with about 1½ tablespoons ofbutter and then season with salt and black pepper.
Arrange the chicken over the indirect heat,angling one thigh and leg to the direct heat side.
Close the grill with lid and cook for about40 minutes.
Rotate the bird, angling the other thightowards the heat and coat with the remaining butter.
Cook for about 40 minutes more.
Remove from the grill andplace the chicken onto a cutting board for about 5-10 minutes before carving.
With a sharp knife, cut thechicken into desired-sized pieces and serve.
Notes
