Let me let you in on a secret! There is no better way than to reheat leftover baked potatoes in an air fryer.

The key lies in the air fryer’s cooking mechanism, which rapidly circulates extremely hot air. As a result, the potatoes warm up evenly, and the peel retains its crispiness.

Therefore, cut them into halves whenever you have leftover potatoes and introduce them to the air fryer without fretting. The air fryer will manage the rest.

Is Reheating a Baked Potato Safe?

Oh, yes! Reheating a baked potato is entirely safe as long as it has been properly cooled and stored after being baked the first time. Scroll below to learn how you can store baked potatoes properly.

But first, let us discuss why we should use an air fryer to reheat potatoes.

How Convenient Is It to Reheat Baked Potatoes in an Air Fryer?

There are numerous reasons why I enjoy reheating my leftovers in an air fryer. Let me list some of them:

Hassle-Free Task: Air fryer makes things simpler. You won’t need additional baking trays, foil, or anything else: fewer utensils, less clean-up. Only leftover potatoes, an air fryer basket, and the unit are required. That is all there is to it.

The Perfect Texture: Reheating baked potatoes in an air fryer results in the delightfully crispy outer skin, just like it should be. The interior is very soft, moist, and fluffy, contrasting to the crispy and crunchy outside. It’s simply outstanding.

Healthier Option: Reheating baked potatoes or any of your leftovers is highly recommended in an air fryer because the air fryer does not require much oil.

More Time for Social Media: Is reheating food more important than your Instagram feeds? No, right? Therefore, we recommend using an air fryer for cooking and reheating because this kitchen appliance does tasks quicker than the blink of an eye (not literally).

Suggestions for Topping Reheated Baked Potatoes:

Some people like to keep their food simple. I just sprinkle some celery over my piping hot potatoes. But, for all the fancy food lovers, here are a few tips for topping,

      • Bacon Bits
      • Shredded Cheeses
      • Green Onion Slices
      • Fresh Creamy Butter
      • A Dollop of Sour Cream
      • Black Pepper or Other Spices

What Is the Best Way to Store Baked Potatoes?

If you have leftover baked potatoes, keep them refrigerated for two days. However, before refrigerating the potatoes, please bring them to room temperature.

Baked potatoes can also be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. So that all you have to do when you want to eat it for lunch the next day is reheat them in an air fryer.

      Conclusion

It cannot get anymore easier. Reheating baked potatoes is a walk in the park when you have an air fryer in your kitchen. Take your leftover potatoes, cut them into halves, air fry them for 3-4 minutes at 350-400°F, and serve.
