Too many leftover egg rolls from last night’s party, and you are thinking about reheating them.

Well, reheating frozen egg rolls is possible! However, bringing them to their signature delicious crispiness is not that easy.

From time to time, I have tried several roll reheating methods and found reheating egg rolls in an air fryer the more accessible and more appropriate method than the other traditional methods.

Let me tell you how you can reheat egg rolls in an air fryer and make them crispier again.

Can I Reheat Frozen Egg Rolls in An Air Fryer?

Yes, like every other frozen food item, reheating egg rolls is possible in the air fryer. Once you try, you will find egg rolls cooked in the air fryer are far superior to those reheated in the microwave.

Why Should I Use an Air Fryer to Warm-Up Egg Rolls?

Let me list some reasons for reheating egg rolls in an air fryer:

  • Crispier Than Soggy:

The air fryer circulates heat all around the food and cooks the food from the inside out. Therefore, it is the best kitchen electronic to reheat leftover egg rolls because it makes them crispy rather than soggy.

  • Healthier:

It’s healthier to warm-up egg or spring rolls in the air fryer because they will not need a lot of oil. You may spray them with extra virgin olive oil to re-crisp them, and still, they will not go mushy.

  • Saves Time:

The time is reduced when you reheat egg rolls in the air fryer. This cool kitchen gadget takes way less time to reheat already cooked food.

How Long Do Egg Rolls Take to Reheat in An Air Fryer?

The time it takes to reheat egg rolls in an air fryer is far shorter than you may expect. In reality, our egg rolls only took 8 minutes to prepare. This includes beginning them on one side, spraying them, flipping them, and respraying them.

Expert’s Tips:

There are a few things you should know if you’d like your egg rolls to be spectacular.

Coat of Oil – The outer layer needs a coating – whether you use egg wash or extra virgin olive oil, your egg rolls will need one of these to get crispier.

Flip Them Mid Way – Halfway through the reheating process, flip the rolls to ensure that they are cooked evenly from both sides. They will get crispy on the outside and juicy inside if you flip them over.

Vegan or Non-Vegan – If your egg rolls have a meat or fish filling, keep in mind that you can only reheat them once after they’ve been thoroughly cooked. Buy vegetarian egg rolls if you plan on reheating your egg rolls more than once.

Cook in Small Batches – If you have a lot of leftovers, reheat them in smaller batches so you can warm them up properly and avoid them from sticking together.

Shelf Life – You should consume market-bought frozen egg rolls within two days of purchase. The markets have them in storage before you bring them home. They are already not-so-fresh. So, remember to reheat and eat within a two-day timeframe.
