How can I make my skillet apple pie crust extra flaky?

One way to make the crust extra flaky is to use cold butter and handle the dough as little as possible. When making the dough, use cold butter and cut it into small pieces before incorporating it into the flour mixture. Once the dough comes together, gently shape it into a ball, wrap it and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Another way is to use a combination of butter and shortening, making the crust extra flaky and buttery.

Can I use other types of apples for this skillet apple pie recipe?

Yes, you can use other types of apples for this recipe. Some popular options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn. Each type of apple will have a slightly different texture and flavor, so feel free to try different varieties to find the one you prefer.

      How Skillet Apple Pie tastes?

This Skillet Apple Pie recipe is a delicious combination of sweet and savory flavors. The crust and the apples are perfectly balanced, making every bite a delightful experience. The cast iron skillet gives the pie a rustic, homey look and adds a nice crunch to the crust.
