Crab legs are one of my favorite kinds of seafood. Crab legs were the first food I ordered whenever I visited a seafood restaurant.

But now, I don’t have to wait to visit a restaurant to eat my favorite tasty crab legs. Now I can make them at home with the help of an air fryer.

The Air fryer crab legs are easy to cook and similar in taste.

Why Should You Make Crab Legs in an Air Fryer?

Once you cook them in the air fryer, you’ll make them frequently and be amazed at how quickly they cook. You will no longer have to wait for the water to boil or for your steamer to heat up. They’re ready in less than 25 minutes in the air fryer!

Another advantage of air-frying them is that the shells will turn crisper and easier to crack. The meat will remain juicy and tender. You can almost effortlessly pull the meat off the legs.

Can I Over Cook Crabs in An Air Fryer?

No. Crab legs should not be overcooked. Simply heat them until they are hot to the touch because they are already cooked when you buy them from the supermarket. The flesh will dry out and become chewy if you cook them in the air fryer for too long.

Can I Eat Crab Legs Without Washing Them?

This one is a ‘no’ too. You should ensure the shells are free of any sand, store items, or plastics before cooking them. I simply clean them and scrub them lightly under running water.

Which Crab Legs Are the Best to Use in An Air Fryer?

As you’ll be frying these crab legs in the air fryer, double-check that they’ll all fit! It is better to choose snow crab and to avoid Alaskan king crab. Smaller crabs, such as Dungeness, will also work well.
