      Why Should I Cook Air Fryer Marinated Chicken Thighs?

      Chicken thighs in the air fryer take less time and hard work than in the oven. In fact, it takes half the time to prepare as it would in the oven.

      Moreover, the marinade used in this recipe is rich in spices and is simple yet delicious. It’s just right, and you’ll find yourself applying it on other sections of the chicken as well, such as legs, wings, and breasts.

      How Long Do You Cook Thighs in an Air Fryer?

      Place skin-side up chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and the fluids run clear. It will take around 25 minutes in a preheated air fryer at 3600F.

      Note: The internal temperature of the fully cooked chicken should be at least 1650 F.

      How to Store Leftover Chicken Thighs?

      Allow leftovers to cool completely before placing them in an airtight container. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze it for 6 months. It can be reheated in the oven, microwave, or air fryer.

      To reheat in the air fryer, place the chicken in the air fryer basket and air fry at 180°C for 4 minutes, or until thoroughly warm.

        Ingredients
          

        • 4 (6-ounce) bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
        • as required salt and ground black pepper
        • ½ cup Italian salad dressing
        • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
        • 1 tsp onion powder
        • 1 tsp garlic powder

        Instructions
         

        • Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper evenly.
        • In a large bowl, add the chicken thighs and dressing and mix well.
        • Cover the bowl and refrigerate to marinate overnight.
        • Grease the Air Fryer Basket with cooking spray and then slide inside.  
        • Adjust the temperature of Air Fryer to 360 °F to preheat for 5 minutes.
        • Remove the chicken breast from the bowl and place onto a plate. 
        • Sprinkle the chicken thighs with onion powder and garlic powder evenly.
        • After preheating, arrange the chicken thighs into the greased Air Fryer Basket in a single layer.
        • Slide the basket into Air Fryer and set the time for 25 minutes.
        • After 15 minutes of cooking, flip the chicken thighs once.
        • After cooking time is finished, remove the chicken thighs from Air Fryer and serve.
