      What are dairy-free brownies?

Dairy-free brownies are what they sound like—brownies containing absolutely no dairy products. That means no butter, milk, cream cheese, or other dairy product is used in the recipe. Instead, they use oil or vegan butter as their fat source and coconut milk or almond milk as their liquid source instead of cow’s milk.

      Are dairy-free brownies healthy?

That depends on your definition of “healthy”! While these treats don’t contain any animal products and therefore cut out saturated fat from the equation, they do still have plenty of sugar and carbs, just like traditional brownies. Of course, portion control is vital when enjoying your favorite sweets! For those who are avoiding animal products for health reasons rather than ethical reasons, opting for sugar substitutes in place of white sugar can help reduce the calorie content without sacrificing too much flavor.
