Which Mushrooms Are Best to Use In This Recipe?

This recipe calls for packaged Cremini mushrooms. I also used a combination of baby portobello and shiitake mushrooms in my air fryer. Feel free to make it with whatever mushrooms you’ve got on hand.

Button mushrooms, full-size portobellos (cut into quarters), morels, and oyster mushrooms are excellent choices.

What is the Point of Making Mushrooms in an Air Fryer?

The vegetables came out incredibly tasty and with a beautiful texture thanks to the air fryer. So, mushrooms are also genuinely delicious straight from the air fryer, and they’re straightforward to make. Toss these soy sauce mushrooms with avocado oil, garlic granules, and black pepper before serving. In just a matter of minutes, you will be enjoying the perfect mushrooms side dish. Serve them alongside your favorite steak or as a salad topping. They are so delicious that it’s difficult not to offer them every meal.

      Important Tips:

The mushrooms should be approximately the same size.

The air fryer cooks the mushrooms faster in a larger model, so keep an eye on them.

The recipe was prepared in a small air fryer. If you use a larger one, it may cook faster, thus adjusting the frying time accordingly.

Is it Possible to Use Canned or Frozen Mushrooms?

I would not recommend using either in an air fryer. The liquid in canned mushrooms is excessive, and they are previously cooked and soft, so they’ll just turn to mush if air-fried. Thus, for this recipe, it’s ideal to use fresh mushrooms.
