Which Ingredients Gives Pudding Its Thickness?

Although there are non-dairy puddings made with plant-based “milk,” they typically contain milk or cream. Both pudding and custard can contain eggs and milk, but custard is typically thickened by the eggs, while the pudding is typically thickened with starch.

Which Milk Makes the Best Pudding?

      A Whole Milk

Although any kind of milk can be used to make instant pudding, whole milk usually yields the best results and is what is typically advised on the package. The pudding has a richer flavor and creamier texture thanks to the higher fat content, making it more palatable.

How Do I Avoid Lumps in Chocolate Pudding?

Custards and puddings may become lumpy. Whisk all the dry ingredients together in a saucepan to avoid lumpy pudding. When the mixture is smooth, add the milk gradually, a small amount at a time, whisking well after each addition. Continue stirring continuously as you bring the mixture to a boil.

What Is the Best Way to Serve This Chocolate Pudding?

This pudding can be served in a variety of ways. We advise baking it as a pie! Place the hot pudding in a baked pastry shell and chill it overnight. The final touch should be whipped cream. Enjoy!
