Top Tips to Make Strawberry Oat Bars
- Double the recipe and bake in a 913-inch baking pan. The bars will be slightly thicker but still delicious. Substitute a 1:1 baking mix for the white whole wheat flour to make them gluten-free.
- If using frozen strawberries, thaw them completely and pat them dry before proceeding with the recipe.
- Refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before freezing, and do not glaze. Before freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator before topping with glaze.
- Use only old-fashioned oats for this recipe. Quick oats and steel-cut oats will not work! Make sure to use regular rolled oats instead.
- After lining the pan with parchment paper, spray it lightly with cooking spray. This allows for the finished bars to be easily removed.
