      What Type of Chicken Cutting is Required to Make Air Fryer Blackened Chicken Tenders?

      You have to take boneless chicken breast pieces and then cut them into slices. Make sure that your slices are not very thick and their size is uniform. If you do so, this will take a lot of time to cook them or might result in them being undercooked from inside.

      What Ingredients Are Required to Season the Chicken Slices to Make Blackened Chicken Tenders?

      You can use any seasoning for that purpose. However, a mixture of spices like dried oregano, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and some cornstarch will make a perfect seasoning and coating material for the chicken tenders. The purpose of adding cornstarch is to give them a crispy outside.

       

      Can Frozen Chicken Tenders be Used to Make this Recipe?

      You can use frozen chicken tenders as well. However, the spices will not stick to them properly, and you might miss specific spicy flavors. Therefore, it is suggested to use fresh chicken or thaw the frozen chicken tenders completely before trying out this recipe.

      Experts’ Suggestions:

      • There is a white muscle tendon in the chicken tenders; it can make your tenders challenging after cooking. Make sure to remove them using your fingers and a fork.
      • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer’s basket as it will result in undercooked blackened chicken tenders.
      • Serving them with a BBQ sauce will double the fun.

        Ingredients
          

        • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
        • 1 tsp cornstarch
        • ½ tsp dried oregano
        • ½ tsp paprika
        • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
        • ½ tsp onion powder
        • ½ tsp garlic powder
        • as required salt and ground black pepper
        • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips

        Instructions
         

        • Grease the Air Fryer Basket with cooking spray and then slide inside.  
        • Adjust the temperature of Air Fryer to 380 °F to preheat for 5 minutes.
        • In a bowl, add cornstarch, oregano, spices, salt and black pepper.
        • Add chicken strips and toss to coat well.
        • After preheating, arrange the chicken strips into the greased Air Fryer Basket in a single layer.
        • Slide the basket into Air Fryer and set the time for 15-18 minutes.
        • While cooking, flip the chicken trips once halfway through.
        • After cooking time is finished, remove the chicken strips from Air Fryer and serve.
