What Other Types of Dried Fruit Can I Use in This Recipe?

You can use different types of dried fruit, such as raisins, cranberries, or dates. Just make sure to adjust the amount of fruit and cooking time accordingly.

Is It Necessary to Use Chicken Drumsticks for This Recipe?

No, you can also use boneless chicken for this recipe. However, bone-in chicken like chicken drumsticks adds more flavor to the dish.

Can I Use White Wine Vinegar Instead of Red Wine Vinegar?

Yes, you can use white wine vinegar instead of red wine vinegar. However, the flavor of the dish will be slightly different.

How to Meal Prep Chicken, Dried Fruit & Olives Bake?

Simply prepare the chicken and fruit mixture, cover with foil or plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to bake. When ready to bake, remove from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.

      Expert Tips for This Recipe:

Mix Up the Seasoning: Try using a combination of cinnamon, cumin, coriander, and paprika to season the chicken and fruit. This will give the dish a warm, earthy flavor.

Don’t Forget the Olives: The saltiness of the olives will balance out the sweetness of the dried fruit. Use pitted Kalamata or green olives for the best results.

Add Some Crunch: Toasted almonds or pine nuts make a great addition to this dish. Sprinkle them over the top just before serving for some extra texture.

Use a Cast-Iron Skillet: A cast-iron skillet will give the chicken a crispy skin and help the fruit caramelize. If you don’t have a cast-iron skillet, a baking dish will also work.
