      Ingredients
        

      • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
      • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
      • as required salt and ground black pepper
      • 2 cloves garlic minced
      • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
      • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes crushed
      • ¾ cup chicken broth
      • ½ cup heavy cream
      • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated
      • ¼ cup fresh mixed herbs chopped
      • 1 lemon sliced

      Instructions
       

      • Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
      • In a cast-iron skillet, heat the oil overmedium-high heat and sera thechicken breasts with salt and black pepper forabout 3 minutes per side.
      • With a slotted spoon, transfer the chickenbreasts onto a plate.
      • In the same skillet, add garlic, thyme, andred pepper flakes and sauté for about 1 minute.
      • Stir in thebroth, heavy cream, Parmesan and salt and bring to a gentle boil.
      • Stir in the chicken breasts, herbs and lemonslices and transfer the skillet into the oven.
      • Bake for about 15 minutes or until chicken iscooked through.
      • Serve hot.

      Notes

      For more flavor, add 3-4 cooked and chopped bacon strips.
